Klas Sportkunde 1E

Story time… Sportstudies
Upon arrival we felt slightly drained due to the delay and missing of trains, before the activities even began we were exhausted and dreading the remainder of the trip.
The first hike brought spirits even further down for the majority of us, but the view at our first campsite was beautiful. Including Quentin finally walking up the hill to join us, very late. This evening, Mr Freckles (bought by Em) had been lost in only 40 minutes- thanks Nikolay!!!

On our first full day the whole group was excited for the activities that lay ahead. The mountain biking was up first, this was successful and thoroughly enjoyed.
After lunch we were challenged with making a raft to get all our bags and team mates across the river. This is where the first glance of a very strong team was seen.
The evening was challenging and frustrating for most of us, the making of our shelter was a rocky road but did eventually lead to success. The team was conflicted with split emotions about eachothers efforts in building it, but it resulted in better communication overall.

On the third day, the half way mark, we started the day with kayaking. Somehow, Damian, Daniel and Jacobo managed to flip it in ankle deep water too. The activity was challenging because of its duration, and most people were freezing once done but everyone kept their heads down and continued to support eachother.
In the afternoon, the cave was a big milestone for many people. Numerous boundaries were pushed, and fears overcome, even after Chey shed a couple tears before she even saw inside.
The second last evening was a major success with a much deeper shithole than the previous night. Everyone was feeding off of eachother energy and some hearty laughs were shared. Also, Stephen woke up to a fox almost feeding off of him!

The last day could not have gone any better. There were many heights involved in the challenges, but the support of the class got everyone through. Despite the many many cries for step- bro from Marta, she conquered all the challenges.
Overall, on this day the class pushed, pulled and supported each individual to really challenge their boundaries.

So now, on the last evening as we all sit around our final fire reflecting on the trip everyone is closer and cuddlier than ever, maybe because it is freezing, but mostly because a real love for our SPS1a class has been lit.
